Help and commands

Choose a category for step-by-step help and the commands available for that part of the server.

Getting started

Connect, find information and set up the basics.

Your first session

Join nookcraft.net and use /spawn if you need the starting area.
Check /balance, then use /sethome somewhere safe.
Browse /city list to join a city or follow the city guide to found your own.
Run /vote for voting links and /web for this website.

Website account

Run /login in Minecraft and open the private one-time link. There is no website password. From your account page you can edit your public profile description.

/web: Show the NookCraft website address.
/login: Create a private one-time link for your website account.
/player [name]: Show information about yourself or another player.
/vote: Show the available server voting links.

Cities

Create a settlement, invite players, claim land and manage city access.

Found a city

Travel to the place you want as the city spawn. It must be far enough from existing cities.
Run /city new <name>. Names are 3–16 characters and can use letters, numbers, spaces, underscores or hyphens.
The creation cost is paid automatically. Your current chunk becomes the first claim and you become mayor.
Use /city invite <player>, then ask the player to run /city join <city>.

Grow and manage it

Stand in an adjacent chunk and use /city claim to expand.
Deposit funds with /city bank +amount so the city can pay its costs.
Create city warps and assign trusted roles when your city grows.
Use /city info, /city members and /city map to review its state.

/city new <name>: Create a city at your current location.
/city info [city]: Show details for your city or a named city.
/city members [city]: List the members of a city.
/city list: List cities on the server.
/city invite <player>: Invite a player to your city.
/city join <city>: Accept an invitation or join an open city.
/city leave [city]: Leave one of your city memberships.
/city kick <player>: Remove a player from your city.
/city transfer <player>: Transfer mayorship to a city member.
/city role <player> <member|inviter|assistant|deputy>: Change a member's city role.
/city claim [city]: Claim the chunk you are standing in.
/city unclaim: Remove your city's claim from the current chunk.
/city map: Show nearby city claims.
/city outpost [city]: Create a separated city claim where allowed.
/city reclaim [city]: Reclaim an abandoned city when eligible.
/city bank <+amount|-amount> [city]: Deposit into or withdraw from the city treasury.
/city spawn [city]: Teleport to an accessible city spawn.
/city warp: List city warps you can access.
/city warp <name>: Teleport to a city warp.
/city warp create <name>: Create a city warp at your position.
/city warp delete <name>: Delete a city warp.
/city set tax <value>: Set the city's member tax.
/city set open <true|false>: Set whether outsiders may teleport to the city.
/city set public <true|false>: Allow or prevent joining without an invitation.
/city set spawn: Move the city spawn to your position.
/city set name <name>: Rename the city.
/city set maxplots <number|->: Set a plot limit or remove it with -.
/city hometown <city>: Choose your home city when you belong to more than one.
/city <city> merge <city>: Merge cities when their leadership approves.
/city delete <city>: Delete a city. Administrator only.
/city help: Show the city command list in-game.

Plots

Mark three-dimensional areas inside city land and control what happens in them.

Create a plot

Hold a stick and left-click a block to start marking.
Right-click each next corner. Each edge must run straight on the X or Z axis.
Right-click the first corner again after at least three corners to close the outline.
Adjust its height with /plot tall if needed, then run /plot new [name].

Share or sell a plot

Use /plot trust for trusted builders, /plot owner for an assisted transfer, or /plot sell to list it. Plot settings control PvP and mob spawning.

/plot new [name]: Create a plot from your completed stick outline.
/plot tall: Set the marked area from bedrock to the top of the sky.
/plot tall <number> <up|down>: Extend the selection vertically.
/plot info: Show information for the plot you are standing in.
/plot owner <player|->: Transfer or clear ownership without payment. City assistant command.
/plot set name <name>: Rename your plot.
/plot sell <price|->: List a plot for sale or remove it from the market.
/plot buy: Buy the plot you are standing in.
/plot trust <player>: Allow a player to build on your plot.
/plot untrust <player>: Remove a player's trusted access.
/plot pvp <true|false>: Control PvP inside the plot.
/plot mobs <true|false>: Control mob spawning inside the plot.
/plot delete: Delete the plot you own.
/plot help: Show plot commands in-game.

Shops and economy

Trade safely with players and run a chest-backed shop.

Create a player shop

Place a chest, run /chest lock, then right-click it with a stick.
Put the items for sale—or space for purchases—inside the chest.
Place a sign within 48 horizontal blocks. Write BUY or SELL on line 1 and the price on line 4.
Hold lapis lazuli, right-click the sign, then right-click the locked chest to link them.

Use money safely

/pay requires a reason so transfers are easier to understand. Check the sign, item and amount before using a shop; misleading trades violate the rules.

/balance [player]: Show your balance or another player's balance.
/pay <player> <amount> <reason>: Pay a player and record the reason.
/stateshop <on|off>: Convert the targeted completed shop to or from a state shop. Administrator only.

Travel and storage

Save locations, request teleports, use warps and protect containers.

Lock containers

Run a chest command first, then right-click the chest or hopper with a stick within two minutes. Use /chest share for access without changing ownership.

Teleport safely

Teleport requests require the other player to accept. Use /back to return to your previous location and named homes for important places.

/home [name]: Teleport to your default or named home.
/homes: List your saved homes.
/sethome [name]: Save your current location as a home.
/deletehome <name>: Delete a named home.
/back: Return to your previous location.
/spawn: Teleport to the server spawn.
/tpa <player>: Request a teleport to another player.
/tpaccept: Accept a pending teleport request.
/tpdeny: Deny a pending teleport request.
/warp: List public server warps.
/warp <name>: Teleport to a server warp.
/warp create <name>: Create a player-owned warp for the configured cost.
/warp setprice <name> <amount>: Set the price for a warp you own.
/warp delete <name>: Delete a warp you own.
/warp help: Show warp commands in-game.
/chest info [amount]: Inspect one or several protected containers.
/chest lock [amount]: Lock one or several containers.
/chest unlock [amount]: Unlock containers you own.
/chest share <player> [amount]: Give a player access to your containers.
/chest unshare <player> [amount]: Remove shared access.
/chest give <player> [amount]: Transfer container ownership.
/chest archive [amount]: Move protected container contents into your item bank.
/chest claim: Claim items waiting in your item bank.
/chest cancel: Cancel the current chest interaction.
/chest help: Show chest commands in-game.

Chat and events

Message players, switch channels and take part in races.

/msg <player> <message>: Send a private message.
/reply <message>: Reply to your latest private-message conversation.
/channel <global|city>: Choose the channel used for your next chat messages.
/channel help: Show channel commands in-game.
/cc: Quickly toggle between city and global chat.
/race start <name>: Join and start an available race.
/race top <name>: Show the fastest times for a race.
/race create <name>: Create a race. Administrator only.
/race setstart: Set the race start at your position. Administrator only.
/race setfinish: Set the race finish at your position. Administrator only.
/race save: Save the race being edited. Administrator only.
/race help: Show race commands in-game.

Rank and item commands

Convenience commands provided by player ranks and special items.

/feed: Restore hunger and saturation. Iron, Gold and Diamond.
/craft: Open a crafting table anywhere. Iron, Gold and Diamond.
/hat: Wear the held item as a hat. Iron, Gold and Diamond.
/enderchest: Open your ender chest anywhere. Gold and Diamond.
/repair: Fully repair the held item. Gold and Diamond.
/head: Buy your own player head for in-game coins. Gold and Diamond.
/ad <message>: Buy a server-wide advertisement. Gold and Diamond.
/invisibleelytra: Receive the permanently bound invisible elytra. Diamond.
/copyright: Copyright the held map so only you can copy it.

Staff commands

Moderation and administration reference. Permission checks still apply in-game.

/kick <player> [reason]: Remove a player from the server.
/ban <player> [reason]: Ban a player.
/unban <player>: Remove a ban.
/mute <player> <time> [reason]: Mute a player for a duration.
/unmute <player>: Remove a mute.
/socialspy [on|off]: Toggle visibility of private and city chat.
/jail create <name>: Create a jail at your position.
/jail send <player> <jail> <time> <reason>: Send a player to jail.
/jail release <player>: Release a jailed player.
/jail help: Show jail commands.
/staff <player> <helper|moderator|admin|none>: Set a player's staff rank. Administrator only.
/staff help: Show staff-rank commands.
/rank <player> <iron|gold|diamond|none>: Set a player's purchased rank. Administrator only.

/eco give <player> <amount> [reason]: Add money to a player's balance.
/eco take <player> <amount> [reason]: Remove money from a player's balance.
/eco log <player> [full] [page]: Review economy ledger activity.
/eco trade <purchase-id>: Review a recorded shop trade.
/setspawn: Set the server spawn to your position.
/vote reward <player>: Grant a configured voting reward.
